Arcaya Customer Case Study
Contemporary Whole-Home Residence
A complete residential project shaped through a calm exterior language, warm interior materials, custom millwork, and carefully composed rooms for everyday living.
For this private residence, Arcaya developed a cohesive whole-home presentation that connects the architecture, landscape, interior materials, fitted cabinetry, furniture, lighting, and soft styling into one refined living environment.
Project Overview
A restrained home with a clear architectural identity
The client wanted a home that felt contemporary without becoming cold. Arcaya shaped the project around a quiet balance: soft neutral exterior surfaces, black-framed openings, a dark metal roofline, generous windows, and interiors that bring in warmth through timber, textiles, stone, and layered lighting.
Rather than treating each room as a separate decoration exercise, Arcaya approached the residence as a continuous environment. The exterior palette, garden views, living-room focal wall, custom storage, bedroom furnishings, and bathroom materials all carry the same language of contrast, texture, and calm proportion.
Exterior Connection
Garden views become part of the living experience
The landscape was treated as more than a boundary. Large black-framed windows, open lawn areas, planted walkways, and transitional exterior corridors allow the greenery to be read from multiple interior angles. This connection gives the home a softer rhythm and keeps the modern forms from feeling too severe.
Arcaya kept the outdoor palette controlled: neutral walls, deep trim, warm planting beds, concrete paving, and clean garden edges. The result is an exterior setting that supports the house without competing with it.
Living Area
A tall focal wall anchors the main living space
In the living room, Arcaya used height and material contrast to create a clear center of gravity. The textured grey fireplace wall gives the room architectural depth, while the white fireplace surround and black linear elements keep the composition crisp. Blue-green upholstery introduces a saturated accent that feels expressive but still controlled.
The room is softened by pale timber flooring, layered rugs, sculptural accessories, and brass-toned side tables. These details prevent the high-volume space from feeling empty and help the furniture sit naturally within the larger architectural frame.
Study And Lounge
Work, reading, and display areas share one calm language
The study area continues the project's warm-modern direction through a wooden desk, soft area rug, leather seating, sculptural ceiling light, and broad garden-facing windows. The atmosphere is functional but not corporate: the room is designed for focus while still feeling connected to the rest of the home.
Arcaya also used art and small-scale styling to bring rhythm into transitional spaces. Abstract artwork, pale walls, black window frames, and deep upholstery colors create repeated visual notes that appear again in the living room, bedroom, and custom cabinetry.
Material Application
Material contrast gives the home its depth
Arcaya's material direction is built on contrast rather than excess. Smooth plaster, black metal frames, warm timber, pale stone, soft upholstery, and occasional brass details give each room a distinct role while preserving one whole-home identity.
Custom Millwork
Built-in cabinetry adds structure, display, and warmth
One of the most distinctive elements in the residence is the custom built-in display and storage wall. Arcaya combined black painted cabinetry with warm vertical timber slats, a pale countertop, open shelving, and discreet metal hardware. The result is practical storage that also works as an architectural feature.
The millwork avoids a flat cabinet-wall effect. Open niches, decorative objects, art placement, and vertical texture create visual movement, while the dark frame ties back to the home's exterior window and door details.
Bedroom
A softer palette for rest and retreat
The bedroom shifts the same design language into a quieter register. A light upholstered bed, pale bedding, soft rug, black bedside pieces, and graphic pillows create a space that feels relaxed but still carefully edited. The black-framed windows keep the room connected to the exterior architecture and frame the surrounding trees like artwork.
Arcaya used warm accent colors sparingly. Mustard and deep teal pillows bring energy to the neutral base, while rounded seating and soft textiles make the room feel more intimate.
Bathroom
Stone, glass, and soft light create a refined bathing space
The bathroom continues the home's calm material story through large marble-effect wall tiles, a freestanding tub, a frameless glass shower panel, built-in niches, and polished hardware. The pale stone surface brings brightness and movement, while the glass keeps the room visually open.
Small timber accessories add warmth to the stone and white surfaces. This controlled mix of hard and soft materials makes the bathroom feel clean, composed, and comfortable for daily use.
The final residence shows how Arcaya turns a client's desire for a modern, warm, and highly livable home into a complete spatial experience. From the exterior envelope to the living room focal wall, custom millwork, bedroom styling, and bathroom material details, the project is unified by proportion, restraint, and a precise use of materials.
