Furniture delivery measurement checklist.
Map the route from unloading point to final room. Keep package dimensions, doorways, elevators, corridors and stairs in one record for the team planning your delivery.
Use measurements and photographs from your building. The checklist highlights missing information for the delivery team to review.

YOUR WORKSHEET
Record the complete delivery route
Record package information and clear spaces along every stage. The result identifies missing data for a delivery-team review; it does not guarantee that furniture will pass.
Your entries stay in this page. Download a JSON file to keep or reopen your work. Closing or reloading without saving clears it. No uploads or submissions.
EXAMPLE ONLY — illustrative records, not a client order or quotation.

Changing shipping-form information resets the team-review state to Needs reconfirmation. Turning, handling and load suitability need the actual team’s review.
Confirm how the furniture will be shipped and moved.
Ask for final outer packing dimensions, weight, package count and the dimensions of each separately movable part. Record assembled size, packed size, component size and the space needed during use separately.
Confirm removable backs, legs or modules with the supplier and delivery team, including who unpacks or assembles them and when. An item that looks modular may still be shipped as one piece.
Measure the clear space along the whole route.
Record the building entrance, elevator, corridors, each doorway, stairs and landings in the order travelled. Note the narrowest points, lowest clearances, door leaves, handles, handrails, projections and low beams with photographs.
For each stage, record the person, date, location and photograph IDs. Keep different buildings, elevators or alternative routes separate rather than copying a neighbour’s measurements.
Measure the elevator opening and cabin separately.
Use separate fields for clear opening width and height and the cabin’s usable length, width and height. Record the source of rated-load information and whether dimensions have been checked on site. Photograph unclear dimension labels before interpreting them.
A wide opening or deep cabin alone does not establish room to turn. Give the delivery team the actual package details and complete route record for review.
Add landings and overhead space at stairs and turns.
Record stair width, landing length and width, turning shape, handrails and overhead clearance. A straight corridor measurement does not describe a turn, and room area does not describe the access route.
The checklist identifies missing information. A single diagonal or fixed clearance allowance does not guarantee passage. The actual team needs to review any special handling, disassembly or equipment against the site.
Confirm the route review and delivery arrangements together.
Add parking, unloading point, floor, available elevator, booking times and the building’s stated requirements. Identify who receives, carries in and assembles the goods, and confirm any additional people, service scope or fees.
Export the summary for the supplier, delivery team or Arcaya. Keep information needed, information recorded, team review pending and a received response distinct. Completing the record does not guarantee access.
Example
Illustrative information gaps only. No access decision is made.
| Item or route | Recorded | To confirm |
|---|---|---|
| LR-01 Sofa | Assembled size known; supplier says separate parts | Each packed size and weight; disassembly and assembly responsibility |
| Elevator → Corridor → Home entrance | Opening and cabin measured separately; R-01 to R-04 | Turning clearance incomplete; delivery-team reply pending |
Common questions
Will furniture fit if it is narrower than the doorway?
That measurement alone cannot confirm access. Review the packing, furniture shape, clearances, turns and complete handling route.
Can I use measurements from another building?
Use them only as a reference. Record your building’s information and whether it has been checked on site.
Will this tool calculate a fit probability?
No. It organises measurements, missing details and questions for the people responsible for the delivery.
Prepare the route information before confirming delivery.
Share the measurements, package details and photographs with the team planning the move.
