From the living room balcony, the client can see landmark architecture across Macau. With such a view and exceptional daylight, the home needed a furnishing language that felt both current and timeless.
Redefining French elegance through modern function.
This project began as a refined decoration renovation at CITIC Mangrove Bay. The original advantage of the home was already clear: excellent daylight, an open balcony view toward Macau, and a generous interior structure. Arcaya's role was to help the client build a new living atmosphere on top of that foundation.
We approached the home as a dialogue between old and new. Classical French wall paneling, arched openings, carved ceiling details, warm timber, deep-toned cabinetry, and modern curved furniture were coordinated so the space could feel elegant without becoming overly decorative.
Light, view, and soft curves shape the main living scene.
The living room is where the project's contrast becomes most visible. French wall lines and ceiling ornament bring order and refinement, while rounded sofas, low tables, and textured rugs make the room feel relaxed and contemporary.
Because the balcony and skyline view are such strong assets, we kept the furniture low and open. The room does not fight the view; it frames it. Soft ivory upholstery, aged wood, brass-toned details, and deep accent finishes create a richer interpretation of classical French living.
A dining room where vintage warmth meets everyday use.
For the dining area, Arcaya used a warmer and slightly more nostalgic material language. The arched transitions, timber furniture, marble patterning, and refined lighting create a room that feels intimate while still connected to the modern lifestyle of the home.
This is where the "half modern, half vintage" brief becomes tactile. The furniture supports daily meals and hosting, while the materials carry a quieter classical mood.
Modern function gives the classical frame a sharper edge.
The kitchen was treated as the more functional and contemporary side of the home. Dark cabinetry, marble-patterned surfaces, black-framed glass, and efficient storage provide a crisp counterpoint to the softer French living areas.
Arcaya helped maintain the balance between practicality and atmosphere. The kitchen needed to perform, but it also needed to remain part of the home's broader material story.
The bedrooms soften the renovation into a quieter rhythm.
In the private rooms, the classical vocabulary becomes lighter. Wall panels, pale cabinetry, soft bedding, warm flooring, and tailored lighting create rooms that feel calm and lived-in rather than formal.
Arcaya coordinated the bedroom furniture and styling to keep the view and daylight visible. The result is a more personal expression of French elegance, shaped around rest, storage, and everyday rituals.

The supporting spaces continue the same renovation logic: practical layouts are paired with expressive materials. In the bathroom, marble-like stone, black framing, white fixtures, and clean lighting create a crisp modern mood that still connects back to the home's classical structure.
Every detail was selected to keep the project coherent. From the arched openings to the cabinet finishes, from the bedroom storage to the vanity zones, the home reinterprets classical French style through the expectations of contemporary family life.
