Project Overview

A kitchen designed as the home's daily gathering point

The client needed a kitchen that could perform as a serious working space while still feeling open, warm, and social. Arcaya developed a layout centered on a large island, full-height storage, integrated appliances, and generous sightlines toward the surrounding living and outdoor areas.

The design balances refined utility with hospitality. Pale stone surfaces brighten the room, natural timber cabinetry adds warmth, stainless steel appliances bring professional clarity, and black-framed openings create a crisp architectural outline around the kitchen.

Design Approach

Warm cabinetry gives structure to a bright open plan

Arcaya used timber cabinetry to bring order and visual warmth into the open-plan kitchen. Tall cabinets frame the refrigerator and ovens, lower drawers keep everyday tools close to hand, and glass-front display cabinets lighten the upper wall without sacrificing storage.

The cabinet detailing is intentionally clean: simple rail profiles, long metal pulls, consistent drawer spacing, and integrated appliance placement. These decisions allow the wood grain to remain the main visual element while keeping the kitchen highly practical.

Island And Workflow

The island works as preparation surface, sink zone, and social counter

The large island is the functional core of the room. Its pale stone surface provides a durable preparation area, while the integrated sink and double faucets support efficient daily use. On the seating side, a dark base and metal-framed stools add contrast to the surrounding timber and light flooring.

Arcaya kept the island visually substantial but not heavy. The waterfall side panel gives the island a clean monolithic presence, while the timber edge detail and slender stools soften the volume and make it feel connected to the rest of the cabinetry.

Material Application

A clear material palette keeps the kitchen refined and livable

Arcaya kept the palette focused so the kitchen could feel bright, warm, and precise at the same time. Each material has a role: timber brings tactility, stone brings light and durability, stainless steel supports the working kitchen, and black metal gives the open plan a sharper architectural rhythm.

Pale stone surfaces Applied to the island, backsplash, and work zones for brightness, easy maintenance, and a refined visual anchor.
Stainless steel appliances Introduce a professional kitchen note through the hood, range, refrigerator, and integrated working areas.
Black metal and glass Frame windows, doors, stools, and indoor-outdoor openings with crisp contrast against the warm cabinet palette.

Cooking Wall

Stone backsplash and stainless steel create a composed working zone

The cooking wall is designed for clarity. The marble-effect backsplash extends across the range area, reflecting light while protecting the working surface. A large stainless steel hood provides a strong focal point and reinforces the kitchen's functional identity.

Under-cabinet lighting gives the countertop a softer evening atmosphere and makes daily preparation more comfortable. Timber drawers below the counter preserve warmth, so the stainless steel and stone never feel overly clinical.

Indoor Outdoor Flow

The kitchen opens directly toward outdoor entertaining

A major strength of the project is the relationship between the kitchen and the covered outdoor entertaining area. Wide black-framed folding doors allow the kitchen to read as part of a larger social zone, while the outdoor dining setting extends the home's everyday use beyond the interior.

Arcaya kept the transition visually consistent: black structural lines, pale floor surfaces, warm timber visible through the opening, and simple outdoor furniture. The kitchen becomes both a working room and a backdrop for hosting.

The final kitchen shows how Arcaya turns a practical residential requirement into a complete living experience. Through custom timber cabinetry, durable stone surfaces, integrated appliances, layered lighting, and a direct outdoor connection, the project becomes more than a kitchen: it becomes the warm, functional center of the home.
